Reston: Matthew S. Cho, D.C., DACRB
Dr. Matthew Cho is a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. He is also a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, and is Certified as an Active Release Technique (ART) and Graston Technique Practitioner. He has completed the Master’s Program in Whiplash injuries. He has held certifications as a Personal Trainer and a Protect-Your-Back Instructor for the American Red Cross.
Dr. Cho has worked with the US Olympic Team at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY, Ironman Triathlon, American University, University of Mary Washington , and University of Richmond in keeping their athletes pain free and in top shape. For two years he worked with the only chiropractor that was appointed to the 1996 US Olympic Team.
Dr. Cho was a practicing Mechanical Engineer and graduate of Drexel University when he decided to enter New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) in 1993. At NYCC he was a Dean’s List student tutoring anatomy, neuro-anatomy, and x-ray diagnosis. Dr. Cho played intercollegiate volleyball but enjoys playing all types of sports.

Meet the clinic director for Central Park Total Rehab: Dr. Milan Lassiter, D.C., CCSP
Dr. Milan Lassiter attended Palmer College of Chiropractic. Palmer is the original chiropractic school, started by the founder of the chiropractic profession, D.D. Palmer. In 1998, Dr. Lassiter passed the exam to become certified as a CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist). During the year after earning his chiropractic degree, Dr. Lassiter completed a year-long post graduate program in sports therapy and passed the board exam to become a CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician).
Dr. Lassiter believes that he brings something unique and highly effective to patients who seek his care by: (1) Improving soft-tissue function through ART® and Graston® (2) Improving spine, joint, and nervous system function through spinal adjustments (3) adding rehabilitative exercises that are individually designed for each patient’s needs. People who work with Dr. Lassiter get very personalized care, not a cookie-cutter approach.
Dr. Lassiter was born and raised in New Jersey. He moved to his wife’s home state of Virginia in 2010, two months after the birth of his 3rd son. Dr. Lassiter is the clinical director of Central Park Total Rehab in Fredericksburg, VA.
Fredericksburg: Abel Shaw, D.C.
Dr. Abel Shaw is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is also a Certified Provider of Active Release Technique. Dr. Shaw attended Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis Missouri where he completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He had the privilege of treating military veterans at the St. Louis VA Hospital and has also worked with athletes from Missouri Baptist University, including the NAIA championship women’s track and field team.
Dr. Shaw is an Army veteran and has run both cross-country and track and field at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. He enjoys treating local athletes, particularly runners and golfers. In his spare time he enjoys running, weight training, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Shaw is the Clinical Director of Fredericksburg Total Rehab, located inside Gold’s Gym.
